Senior FPGA Engineer (VHDL) - Edinburgh Hybrid - 60K + 15% Bonus

Having placed a number of people into the organisation ourselves, they have once again asked us to help them in their searches for new talent (especially after placing the Hiring Manager for this post ourselves!).

On this occasion they are looking for a Senior FPGA Engineer to join their team, contribute to the ongoing improvements to the development of FPGA solutions at the heart of their product line, and drive designs from initial concept stages all the way through to production.

Some of what you'll be doing:

• FPGA development, contributing to solutions/designs/specifications across the life cycle from concept gen through to production
• Analysing existing designs and identifying areas for improvement
• Pin Out generation, behavioural verification, hardware troubleshooting, and other relevant activities
• Liaising with other teams regarding solution design intent, operation workflow, etc.
• Researching new technologies for feature additions/ongoing improvements to the product portfolio

Some of the things you'll bring to the table:

• Strong background in the FPGA domain and strong skills across VHDL development, Xilinx/Altera/Intel offerings
• Ability to work as a commercially aware technical specialist within a highly collaborative, Agile and cross-functional R&D function
• Broad knowledge of relevant trends within the market, and ability to research and adapt to new technologies
