The role:

Include, but are not limited to;

Day to Day Job

• You are responsible for reviewing designs for new projects and advise on potential changes that are in line with technical and or scope restrictions.
• You are responsible for build websites in the required platforms, in line with the approved designs and signed off brief.
• You write clean functional Front End code.
• You are responsible for ensuring that code is complete and tested before handing over to Back End Development and or QA testers.
• You are responsible for ensuring that you follow all development procedures used by Ascensor.
• You are responsible for ensuring sites are developed with performance in mind for your own projects and those of your team members.
• You are responsible for ensuring best practices are followed on all development tasks for your own projects and those of your team members.
• You are responsible for ensuring deployment processes are followed for your own projects and those of your team members.
• You are responsible for ensuring go live testing is completed for each project / task for your own projects and those of your team members.
• You will be required work on service tickets for a wide variety of websites including new projects you have not be part of the development of.
• You will be required perform performance reports with recommendations for technical changes.
• You will be responsible for ensuring that software updates are taken place either by yourself or by the team.

Project Management

• You will be involved in project kick off meetings, for your own projects and projects of junior members of the team, highlighting any blockers and recommend best practice solutions for any queries.
• You will be required to proactively highlight project change requirements to prevent project issues/delays, providing potential solutions.
• You will be required provide detailed estimates for both full projects and service tickets.
• You will be required provide detailed updates on projects / service tasks to ensure that Project Managers and Service Delivery Managers are fully informed on changes.
• You will be required to write technical documentation. Before or during a project.
• Be involved in client meetings as technical support to answer any technical questions that may be raised during the meeting.

Teams

• You will be supporting other team members in problem solving issues.
• You will be supporting the Marketing department with technical queries and task to complete marketing changes.
• You are required to support the Sales team with technical information during the sales process.
• You are responsible for ensuring junior team members are following all development procedures and coding standards used by Ascensor.
• You are involved in coaching junior team members in development best practices.
• You are required to monitor and support junior team members with deployments, ensuring they are able to deploy their work and that they are doing appropriate testing after the deployments, understanding the importance.
• You are responsible to encourage and support junior team members in the development of their skills and knowledge

Future Proofing

• You will need to actively enforce the current processes in place at Ascensor.
• You are responsible for identifying process gaps and recommend new processes that will improve efficiency and quality.
• You are involved in R&D discussions to ensure the team is actively progressing with new technologies.
• You are responsible for your continuous personal development of company related skills.
• Communicating effectiveness of emerging technologies with decisions makers and your team.

Must have skills:

• Excellent knowledge of fundamental front-end languages: HTML, CSS, Sass, JavaScript, jQuery, Ajax, JSON and GIT.
• Proficient with Vue.js and GraphQL.
• Proficient with WordPress and Laravel platforms.
• Proficient with WordPress and Laravel platforms.
• Good understanding of SEO.
• Excellent verbal communication and teamwork skills.
• Great problem solving and analytical skills.
• Passion for writing clean reusable code.
• App Creation (Ionic)
• Experience working with package managers such as Webpack, NPM etc.
• Creative thinking.
• Organisational skills.

Ideal skills/knowledge of:

• React.js
• Node.js

• Tailwind

Must have requirements:

Salary: £45,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
