• Fantastic opportunity. Our client are based in Bristol at the junction of the M5/M4 at Aztec West and are a busy Global FinTech software provider to the world's top banks.

• This is a technical role where you will have an opportunity to work in a company with operations around the globe.

• The purpose of this role is to support the TLM ( Transaction Lifecycle Management) team by applying your experience and technical knowledge into developing and supporting all components of their products which follow their coding standards.

• Using the latest versions of Angular you will be developing their Design System and component library, applying your experience and technical knowledge into producing modern and effective UI elements that provide a centralised and consistent look and feel across their products.

• You will manage a diverse workload including multiple parallel tasks and you will prioritise your time and tasks effectively. You will be designing and developing innovative solutions for the world’s leading financial institutions.

• You will have a proven track record in building software which is of high quality, robust and scalable by design, as well as the ability to understand and introduce outside concepts to challenge the status quo or solve problems in software, tooling and process.

• You will use your technical expertise to influence technical direction and to mentor junior members of the team.

Job Responsibilities

• Writing and testing code in order to develop scalable and robust solutions, which meet the high performance and availability standards of global financial institutions.
• Making code changes and unit testing of the code.
• Investigation of problems and determining the best solution.
• Support on-going maintenance and fixes of companies solutions and in-house toolkits.
• Collaborating with other developers and other departments.
• Investigation of problems and determining the best solution.
• Create technical documentation for reference and reporting.
• Build credibility with team members and support junior team members by providing feedback.

Qualifications

• A degree or equivalent in Computer Science or IT

; demonstrable equivalent professional knowledge.

Experience

• Extensive experience in a Software Engineering or equivalent role
• Experience of writing tests
• Experience developing in a software vendor environment is advantageous
• Financial software experience is also advantageous
