Senior Fullstack Developer

Acorn by Synergie is working with an innovative and market leading company who are investing significantly in their Technology department. They are looking for two Senior Fullstack Developers who can be based anywhere across the England and Wales as this role is fully remote.

The Senior Full Stack Developer will be a highly autonomous role but collaboration with the rest of the inhouse development team is critical, ensuring consistency, building feature rich software incorporating a range of technologies. You will be involved in the entire product development lifecycle including creation, specification, development, deployment, and maintenance, and you will be skilled in writing clean code, and experienced in Version Control with Github/bitbucket.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain software features and the supporting build/release/test infrastructure.
• Be responsible for delivering high quality solutions to specification and on time.
• Actively contribute to the continuous improvement culture and process and drive efficiencies within the team .
• Peer code reviews.
• Uphold good development planning and procedures.
• Follow industry best practises and coding standards.
• Optimise application performance and improve user experience through innovative front-end and back-end development techniques.
  

Technologies used:

• 5+ years' experience with the Laravel Ecosystem.
• Excellent knowledge of database systems, including MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Understanding design patterns in Laravel and their use cases.
• Experience with payment integrations (Worldpay, PayPal, Stripe, Open Banking etc).
• Unit testing (phpunit/pest).
• CSS frameworks (TailwindCSS/Bootstrap) and in depth experience with SCSS/SASS.
• Javascript experience with one or more JS frameworks (Vue, React or Angular), preferably Vue, and have a good understanding of modern frontend and backend technologies.
• Version Control (Github/bitbucket).
• Experience working with RESTful APIs and integrating backend services.
