We are currently searching for a Senior Garment Technologist to join the team.
As one of our Senior Garment Technologists you will be responsible for the fit, quality and performance of your product area from proto through to bulk shipment, ensuring timely completion of sample approvals to achieve on time deliveries. This role is integral to the wider Production, Product Development and Design teams to drive improved performance of our product.
We are looking for someone who will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the end to end fit and construction of mens and womens garments, ensuring the products are in line with the brand direction
- Coordinating the fit sessions, fit reviews, and production sample reviews for own product group
- Providing fitting and construction support to Design and Product Development teams during development process
- Managing product from SMS handover to bulk production ensuring on time approvals
- Communicating fit comments and specifications to suppliers
- Attending seasonal handover meetings
- Risk assessing materials and organising base and bulk testing
- Creating care label information according to the end product
- Managing the bulk quality control of own product group working closely with the Production team ensuring on time deliveries
- Seasonal vendor and product reviews
- Providing support for ad hoc on projects as required by the Technical Manager
- Seasonal international travel
We are looking for someone who has:
- Multi-product experience as a Garment Technologist within mens and womenswear, knitwear experience would be advantageous
- Experience within a similar role, ideally in the high end/ luxury industry
- Experience of managing international vendors
- Strong garment construction, fit and grading awareness
- Understanding of material testing and risk assessment
- Strong computer literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PLM systems and Adobe Illustrator
- Solid time management abilities; able to prioritise, manage workload and be flexible within tasks as and when needed by the business
- Flexibility to travel
