Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Location: Ashford, Kent

Package: 40,000 - 55,000 dependent on experience

Emtech Recruitment are working with a well known UK based Engineering Consultancy who are recruiting for Senior to Associate level Geotechnical Engineers to join their business. They are currently working on a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, specialist geotechnical designs, education, health, commercial, residential, leisure, regeneration and masterplanning, and they work both in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities:

You will work as part of a team on a variety of engineering projects and have

the following tasks:

• Be responsible for technical review, or preparation, of geotechnical reports, calculations, specifications and drawings for a variety of environmental, structural, civil engineering and infrastructure projects, using appropriate software as necessary.
• Provide leadership and management to your team and multi disciplinary teams.
• Advise and update the Project Partner of any possible changes to geotechnical scope, circumstances, or programme that may impact on cost and agree actions.
• Delegate workload, monitor deliverables and help train and mentor other team members.
• Undertake site visits, surveys and inspections associated with geotechnical works.
• Manage and record health and safety risks and maintain the Site Visit Risk Assessments and Designers Risk Assessments in accordance with CDM regulations and all guidance.
• Be conversant with the Practice's Integrated Management System, policies and procedure and ensure document control of the projects undertaken is maintained.
