Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Geofirma Ltd. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will be responsible for managing projects from start to finish, including conducting site ground investigations, analysing soil properties, utilizing Geotechnical Engineering principles, designing foundations, and overseeing construction. This role requires some flexibility for remote work and site visits will be required to sites mainly around London and south east England..
Qualifications
- Experience in planning and supervising of site Investigation.
- Experience in undertaking Geotechnical Reporting - Mainly interpretative and geotechnical design reports. Experience in writing basement impact assessments and ground movement assessments.
- Strong understanding of Geotechnical Engineering and Engineering Geology principles
- Experience in design of geotechnical structures. Retaining Structures, Piles, Slopes etc
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology.
- Chartered or near Chartered as CEng or CGeol.
- Experience managing projects and leading teams
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of geotechnical software such as WALLAP, OASYS suite, PLAXIS, Geo5, GeoStudio, Openground, Geodays or gINT.
