They are at the forefront as a premier installation contractor for Offshore Wind developments, committed to driving the transition towards sustainable and renewable energy solutions worldwide. As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer within the Seabed Intervention team, you will be a pivotal force in the application of advanced Geotechnical Engineering principles to offshore projects.

Key Responsibilities: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

  • Project Leadership: Spearhead Geotechnical Engineering efforts, acting as the focal point for project-related matters within the Seabed Intervention discipline.
  • Geotechnical Assessments: Interpret findings from geophysical, geological, and geotechnical surveys, providing critical insights for project planning and execution.
  • Foundation Design and Installation: Assess soil conditions, develop ground models, and provide recommendations for foundation design, cable trenching, and rock dumping.
  • Technical Coordination: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing geotechnical input to technical scopes of work for subcontractors, reviewing documentation, and ensuring alignment with project requirements.
  • Risk Assessment: Evaluate ground risks and opportunities related to cable burial, offshore construction, and foundation installation methods.
  • Innovation and Development: Contribute to research and development initiatives within the Seabed Intervention team, fostering knowledge sharing and continual improvement.

Key Requirements: Senior Geotechnical Engineer

  • Master's or Academic Technical Degree in Geotechnics (Geotechnical, Fluid dynamics, Geology).
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Geotechnical Engineering, with a focus on offshore projects.
  • Proven leadership capabilities, effective planning, and organizational skills.
  • Chartered or working towards it with a professional organization (ICE, IMechE, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and a commitment to continuous development.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Willingness to travel internationally for short assignments.
