We are currently seeking a Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy in Bristol. The ideal candidate should have diverse experience across sectors such as road and rail, industrial, residential, commercial, and leisure developments. They should be adept at providing robust, technically sound, and cost-effective solutions to clients.
As part of this role, you will be involved in civil design work related to foundations, slopes, retaining walls, and other geotechnical elements. You will also play a key role in assessing existing structures and designing remedial measures when necessary. Collaboration with the civil project team to integrate geotechnical requirements into project delivery is essential. Additionally, you will oversee team performance, supervise staff, and have excellent opportunities for career advancement within a successful and growing team.
Job Requirements
- Typically, 8+ years’ experience with a proven track record in geotechnical design work and experience across a range of projects, ideally gained within a consulting environment.
- Chartered, Incorporated or working towards chartership.
- Proficient in geotechnical FEM software such as FREW, ALP, PILE, SLOPE and PDisp or similar
- Sound knowledge with CDM H&S regulations.
This could be an excellent opportunity for an experienced Geotechnical Engineer nearing chartership and working to progress into a principal role or alternatively a Senior Geotechnical Engineer looking for a fresh challenge.
