Senior Grounds Operative

About the Role:
The Senior Grounds Operative (Sports Surface Specialist) is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of sports playing surfaces, outdoor spaces, and grounds in general. The role acknowledges the technical and practical requirements that come with providing bespoke playing surfaces, but also falls within the general Grounds Operative responsibilities.
Skills and Experience:
•The Senior Grounds Operative (Sports Surface Specialist) will have grounds management experience which may include cricket grounds/pitches, rugby/football and All-Weather Surface facilities.
•Minimum of 3 to 6 years related or equivalent experience.
•Knowledge of horticulture, landscaping, and groundskeeping techniques.
•IOG / Lantra qualifications and experience preferable.
•Familiarity with the operation and maintenance of groundskeeping equipment.
•Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high standard of appearance.
•Problem-solving skills for identifying and addressing issues in the outdoor environment.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
•A valid, clean UK driving licence.
