We are collaborating with a leading global defence engineering company, pioneering innovation and technology. As our client expands its Hardware Systems team, a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer is sought to join their dynamic and collaborative environment working on marine vessels as they are built and developed on land.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Hardware Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for generating design, test, and installation documentation. This includes investigating and resolving design issues, designing and building electrical and Hardware Systems, and ensuring successful installation and setup on ships. Understanding Configuration Control and baselines, using Visio for hardware design, and conducting design proving are integral aspects of this role.

Skills and Experience Sought:

Essential:

• Experience in a hardware domain
• Knowledge and experience of equipment development using COTS hardware
• Ability to author and understand technical and design documentation

Desirable:

• Ability to operate in a large, complex multi-project environment
• Experience with COTS cabinets, cabinet design, wiring schedules, power distribution
• Familiarity with blade, PC, and networking technologies
