Role: Senior Health & Safety/ CDM Consultant

Location: Southampton/ Portsmouth

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 + car allowance + excellent benefits package

Carriera is supporting an award winning multi-disciplinary construction consultancy who operate across the UK. The business has recently been awarded a large multi-phase contract with a University in Hampshire and require an experienced Senior H&S/ CDM Consultant to join the business and manage all aspects of safety and design risk on the project.

The role would suit someone who has previously worked on education or university projects throughout their career up to the value of £100m. There will be a focus on client liaison throughout the project, so strong interpersonal communication skills would be required.

The Duties:

• Responsible for delivering on all aspects of H&S/ CDM/ PD for the University.
• Offer a variety of Health & safety services on the project.
• Manage the H&S file, review construction phase plans, maintain pre-construction information, design risk reviews etc.
• Attend design team and client meetings and offer advice on safety in design.
• Carryout site safety inspections and site safety audits.

The Person:

• NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
• NEBOSH Construction or equivalent.
• Membership to IOSH or APS (desirable).
• 3 - 5 years experience delivering H&S/ CDM service to clients.
• Excellent knowledge of CDM 2015 Regs.
• Knowledge of fire safety or Building Safety Act (desirable).
• Full UK Driving License.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
