Job Role: Senior Helicopter Engineer
Location: Elstree, Hertfordshire
Salary: £66,000-£70,000 DOE
Hours: 7:30-16:00 Monday to Friday
Job Type: Full time, Permanent
Holidays: 28 days including bank holidays

Interaction Technical have partnered with a well-established, market leading Helicopter Distributor and Service provider in their search for an experience Senior Helicopter Engineer to join their growing team in Hertfordshire. This client has been established for over 50 years and is a market leader in the helicopter industry throughout Europe, with 4 sites throughout the UK. The Role:

  • Electrical & Mechanical fault finding, maintenance & rectification on helicopters and aeronautical machinery
  • Conducting planned & preventative maintenance on aircraft at the site
  • To manage your team effectively, designating aircraft to your engineers and ensuring all aircraft is working efficiently and fit to fly
  • You will be tasked to grow the team by adding skilled engineers over the course of your time at the company
  • To oversee and run the site, ensuring that all processes are running smoothly and all aircraft is maintained and fit for purpose
  • You will be the go to person for your team, offering advice where required and being hands on where required
  • Supervise maintenance and support staff working within your team
  • Manage base operation within your area – facilities and equipment
  • Co-ordinate activities with planning operations team
  • There is a call out rota as part of this position (1 in 2 weeks) – this comes with a call out uplift payment and working at overtime rate


The Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a helicopter/aeronautical engineer (essential)
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a senior/lead engineer in the Aeronautical industry (essential)
  • B1.3 and/or B2 Licenced engineer (essential)
  • Proven ability to lead a team efficiently and effectively (essential)
  • Relevant Electrical/Mechanical Qualifications (City & Guilds/NVQs) – Advantageous
