You will be part of our Development Management Team who deliver a wide range of development services which includes Planning, Highways Development Control, Ecology, Conservation, Healthy Spaces and Building Control. We deliver holistic and innovative solutions to all our customers. 

Our successful candidate will have proven experience of providing technical lead on a wide range of Highways Development Control matters and be part of a proactive approach to the provision of multi- disciplinary technical advice to support and drive the delivery of both commercial and residential growth across the Borough. Using professional judgement you will provide highways and transport input to all stages of new developments, including the assessment of impact of new development on the highway, approving new housing and industrial development highway layouts and securing S106 funding to ensure that the Council fulfils all of its statutory obligations as Highway authority for all new development.

You will be based in Telford - a destination of vibrant places and experiences where people love to live, work and play. Sitting in the heart of Shropshire, Telford is the gateway between the Midlands and Wales.  Rich in heritage and natural beauty, the borough has a vibrant town centre that’s currently expanding and a 450 acre town park with numerous leisure facilities
