Senior Homeless Intervention Officer- Central Bedfordshire Council

 Are you a passionate, dedicated Senior Homeless Intervention Officer looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Senior Homeless Intervention Officer to join the services based in Central Bedfordshire.

Umbrella Pay rate: £27.92 - £35.00 per hour

9am- 5pm Monday- Friday

Temporary Role- 3 months initially

The role:

• You will be providing support and casework management assistance to Housing Options Officers
• Meeting the daily demands of the homeless and people who are threatened with homelessness.
• Communicating effectively and diplomatically whilst giving the best comprehensive housing advice
• Assessing applications in accordance with the legislation in order to discharge the council’s statutory homelessness duties.
• Create personal housing plans to help individuals stay in their homes or find alternative arrangements.
• Identify and support the needs of the individual and offer the best guidance for their circumstances.
• You will need to be prepared to negotiate with landlords, helping applicants find the best solution for their individual needs.

Requirements:

• Experience of managing a busy and demanding caseload is essential.
• Highly organised
• Experience of assessing applications under the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and part 7 of the 1996 Housing Act
• Work very well under pressure and in fast paced environments
• Very good written and verbal communication skills
• DBS on the Update Service
