BDS are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Support worker to work within a social justice charity supporting vulnerable people across South Wales, covering Swansea, Cardiff, Pontypridd, Merthyr, Newport.
This is a full time position, working 35 hours a week, Monday to Friday, service hours are 8am to 10pm, working 1 Saturday each month
Initially a temp position through to the end of October with the possibility of being extended or becoming perm,
Pay rate of £14.66 per hour PAYE or £19.15 UMB
You will need to be a driver with access to a car as there is the requirement to cover areas around Cardiff, Swansea, Newport, Pontypridd and Merthyr,
Act as a peripatetic senior operational lead working across services providing direct input and support on practice, performance or quality matters
Coordinating and delivering service improvement plans for a service or group of services
Be a safeguarding lead, advising teams on effective management of incidents, practice and reporting.
Liaise with relevant external agencies e.g. Local Authority; Social Services, Children’s teams etc.
Carry a small caseload of complex need service users
Represent services at external operational meetings related to service user assessments, reviews and referral assessment as required.
Deputise for Service Leads as required and line manage teams of Support Workers for temporary periods of time
Ensure teams are compliant with voids and arrears protocols and procedures
Meet individual performance targets and contribute towards meeting team performance targets as required
Liaise with the Housing Management and Performance teams to monitor service performance and agree the implementation and reporting of any improvement actions.
You will require an enhanced adult DBS issued within the last 12 months to apply for this position.
This particular role specialises in working with ex-offenders, probation services along with other external agencies.
