Working within the Workforce and Executive Business directorate, you will be part of a small team delivering the internal HR function and associated HR support to the WLGA.
The HR team is responsible for all aspects of the employee life cycle, from recruitment, probation, and induction through to pay, conditions of service, personal development, health, safety, wellbeing, and inclusivity best practice.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with managers and deliver support for a workforce of circa 100 staff, playing a key role in shaping the organisation, its culture and practice to ensure effective people management. The role will support the delivery of a new suite of HR policies and procedures and a pay and grading review, plus the development of systems and support for workforce planning, workforce development, equalities, and wellbeing.
We are looking for an experienced HR generalist with sound HR skills, knowledge and experience who is able to deal with a wide range of day to day, strategic and project-related HR and workforce challenges within a predominantly professional environment.
