Senior Immunoassay Scientist

We are currently looking for a Senior Immunoassay Scientist to join a leading Contract Testing Organisation based in the Manchester area. As the Senior Immunoassay Scientist you will be responsible for acting as a lead investigator working a wide range of projects supporting clinical and preclinical analysis.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Senior Immunoassay Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1. As the Senior Immunoassay Scientist, you will be responsible for the acting as a lead in projects that vary in size, time lines and scope.

2. You will provide analytical services to customers in the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sectors in a GMP, GLP, and GCP regulated laboratory. You will ensure that bioanalytical studies meet the required quality standards.

3. You will assimilate and develop new techniques in the laboratory and work in new areas when required. You will provide expertise on method development, bioanalytical method validation and sample analysis.

4.As the Senior Immunoassay Scientist, you will supervise and mentor more junior members of staff. You will also communicate directly with clients; establish requirements and report outcomes; implications of the results generated; problem solving when problems arise.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Immunoassay Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1. Relevant degree in a Biology or Chemistry based subject.

2. Proven industry experience working in bioanalysis with experience using immunoassay techniques for the analysis of biopharmaceuticals. You will also need experience working in a GxP regulated laboratory (with a focus on GCP and GLP regulations).

3. A working knowledge and practical experience with Pharmacokinetic (PK), Immunogenicity (ADA), and biomarker analysis.
