Senior Infrastructure Engineer (Contract)

Status: Remote | £475-550 p/day | Outside IR35 | 6 months+.

Supporting a significant infrastructure upgrade; working in a huge private cloud environment.

The role will involve responsibility for ensuring the service availability of critical components that make up the client platform, as well as supporting with a significant new multi-technology upgrade programme.

You will be working on medium and large-scale platform optimisation, working as part of a team on new next generation cloud platform architectures, as well as be involved in cross platform PoC projects, effectively deliver project milestones.

Role Details:

• Significant experience working on a large-scale enterprise or multi-tenant environments.
• Significant experience with VMware 7.0+ in (hosting provider specific technologies like Auto deploy, VVOLs or multi-site topologies is a bonus).
• Experience with Nutanix or Hyper-V deployments at scale.
• Significant experience troubleshooting and analysing complex failures.
• Operational experience of NSX 3.0+ | Cisco UCS or other enterprise blade systems
• Experience with Storage Technologies (HPE 3PAR, Nimble, Dell Compellent) and FC storage networking.
• Knowledge of Veeam desirable.
• Security Clearance is desirable. Must be based in the UK.
• Certifications: VCP-DCV / VCP-NV (VMware 7+) | VCAP (Desirable).
