Senior 3rd Line Infrastructure Engineer (Network bias)

Our client, a successful independent IT Services company based in Hertfordshire, currently have a vacancy for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join their busy team at a high level role within the business. They will be able to work flexible hybrid basis, coming into the office around once a week.

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will be split between technical support and technical project delivery to clients across the UK.Additionally, you will manage internalInfrastructure and Applications.

You will:

• Oversee the delivery of client projects, following agreed-upon scope, timelines, and budget
• Serve as a escalation point for the Helpdesk, managing all escalated tickets, and ensuring they are completed in a timely manner and to a high quality
• Carry out Technical Pre-sales activities, engaging with clients to understand their requirements and providing comprehensive technical solutions that align with their needs and SLA's.
• Provide management and support for internal systems, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance to facilitate efficient business operations
• Operate seamless Client Onboarding/Offboarding processes, guiding clients through transitions
• Provide consultancy to clients, offering expert guidance and recommendations to address their challenges and maximise value
• Carry out site surveys and create relevant documentation thereafter

Experience required:

• Hands-on Technical knowledge of Routing LAN/WAN, Switching, Cisco, Meraki, firewalls, VLANs, VPNs and network segmentations
• Experience with management of devices with Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Microsoft Intune
• Experience with Azure, Active Directory and virtual machines within the Azure Cloud
• Deployment and support of Microsoft 365 products, including SharePoint/OneDrive and Teams
• Understanding of backup and recovery concepts
• Experience of configuring backups and running restores to all environments mentioned above
• Understanding of and experience working with cloud technologies
