We are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, who will be responsible for the implementation, support, and maintenance of all existing and future SAN and Backup Systems Infrastructure at a very prestigious clients sites.
What you'll be doing:
Based at the client's Portsmouth site, you will ensure alignment of all SAN related infrastructure aspects at the clients UK sites in accordance with a unified approach. We are looking for a self-motivated and communicative person who thrives in a fast-paced environment with constant change, delivering Infrastructure projects and working in a daily operations environment too. We are looking for very strong team orientated people here, who thrive working in a group, rather than individually.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience in Windows and Linux environments.
- Good knowledge of Enterprise Storage Technologies (3par and NetApp).
- Good Knowledge of Enterprise Backup Technologies (Netbackup and Veeam)
- Experience managing physical servers with mapped storage.
- Good experience of backup processes across VMware estates (Datastores/LUNs) including provisioning, management and decommissioning.
- Knowledge of Tape Library Management and LTO media Management processes.
It would be great if you had:
- Security Clearance
- Experience involving multiple Operating System vendors.
- Extensive experience working in a large enterprise virtualised environment.
- SAN Fabric experience.
- Netapp OnTap C-Mode experience.
- Working knowledge of LAN/WAN Technologies.
