Senior Inspection Engineer

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Inspection Engineer to cover the South West Region. The Senior Inspector will be responsible for the thorough examinations in line with LOLER regulations of our own fleet. The role will include raising of all defects which contribute to the safe use of the equipment. Identification of any observations which would lead to a possible future machine failure. As the team progresses, there will be opportunity to manage a team of local inspectors to advise, coach and manage escalations.

Responsibilities include:
? Working with the LOLER Inspections Planner to ensure all inspections are compliant within the regulations prior to expiry dates.? Regionally responsibility for ensuring no machines are operational without a live inspection and/or prohibition raised.? Attend monthly performance review meetings with the senior leadership team to review current performance against set KPIs. Take an active role in process improvement suggestions and feedback any route cause issues that prevents success.? LOLER inspection frequencies to be abided by the regulations, however the inspector as deemed a competent person, will assess and address if these need to be more frequent based on environmental conditions where the machine is being operated.? Ensuring to all A defects are raised and machine is quarantined until addressed, ensure to make the local manager/customer aware as part of the debrief.? Ensure any A/B defects are raised to the central tech services department and support any fellow engineers with knowledge and understanding of said defects raised to minimise downtime or customer impact (NPS).? Approving of small repairs to the Inspection Engineers on a customers site where the site/location makes the future attendance of a separate engineer non beneficial to the company/customer.? Completion of small repairs, following completion of an inspection, where the site/location makes the attendance of a separate engineer non beneficial to the company/customer.
The ideal candidate will have/be:
? Full UK driving license? CAP qualified or equivalent? IPAF Demonstrator or operator license? Experience of inspections of Power Access equipment (desirable)? The ability to drive and lead a team effectively.? Be able to support and evidence performance management and improvement.? Customer focused with the ability to effectively manage expectations, delivering strong customer service levels.? IT literate?
