Who we're looking for
We’re looking for someone to lead and work as part of a design team supporting a core product area within Experience Design They will give guidance to stakeholders, development teams and other Interaction Designers, working alongside and leading a design team. They will take full ownership of their output, providing rationale for design decisions and confidently present their work back to stakeholders.
Job Description
JOB TITLE: Senior Interaction Designer
LOCATION: London
SALARY: £85,000 - £100,000
HOURS: Full Time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time in the London office.
About the opportunity
A key Design role within BCB (Business & Commercial Banking), the Senior Interaction Designer will be responsible for interaction design of the completely new lending journey for our commercial customers. Our proposition is going to allow customers to originate funds in fully digital channel while considering omni-channel experiences, customers diversity as well as vulnerabilities. The new proposition is also building on completely new architectural framework and aiming to be the best in class in the industry.
Interaction design is about the creation and management of dialogue between a person and a product, system, or service. By combining an understanding of the system user, the context in which the interaction takes place and a knowledge of information presentation the Interaction Designer can ensure that the interaction is timely, effective and emotionally rewarding.
It’ll be your role to:
  • Shape and implement experience strategy for the product area
  • Develop a deep understanding of customer needs, pain points and expectations
  • Understand goals andrequirement in the context of business and engineering priorities
  • Work with service designers to influence and develop the roadmap and overall product strategy
  • Engage with leadership to understand objectives and opportunities aligned to good customer outcomes
  • Establish a growth culture and build capabilities through the formal development and mentoring of team members

What you'll need
  • Extensive and demonstrable experience within User Experience design/Interaction Design
  • Experience leading projects
  • Strong stakeholder relationships influencing skills
  • A strong strategic vision that aligns well to the overall business strategy
