mustard's client is a leading Design & Build Interior Design studio of 4, specialising in creating exceptional spaces for commercial, and hospitality clients. They are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Interior Designer to join their dynamic team. This person will play a key role in leading projects from concept to completion, collaborating with clients, contractors, and other design professionals to deliver outstanding results. The ideal candidate will possess a strong design sensibility, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record of executing projects of various scales and complexities.

Responsibilities:

Lead the design process from initial concept development through to project completion, ensuring adherence to client objectives, budget constraints, and project timelines.
Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, requirements, and preferences, and translate them into innovative and functional design solutions.
Develop comprehensive design proposals, including detail packages, technical drawings, joinery packages, mood boards, space plans, material selections, and furniture layouts, that reflect the client's aesthetic and functional goals.
Manage project teams effectively, delegating tasks, providing guidance and mentorship to more junior designers, and fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.

Coordinate with contractors to ensure seamless execution of design concepts, including reviewing drawings, specifications, and samples, and overseeing the installation process.
Conduct site visits and inspections as needed to monitor progress, resolve any design-related issues, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative materials to continually enhance design offerings and deliver exceptional results to clients.
Requirements:

Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
Minimum of 5 years of experience in interior design in the UK, with a focus on commercial, or hospitality projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Enscape, Sketchup, and Indesign
Strong conceptual and design skills, with a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
Excellent communication, presentation, and client management skills.
Proven ability to lead and inspire project teams, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of building regulations, construction methods, and industry standards.
