SalaryA great opportunity has arisen within a big-hitting global legal firm who are looking for a Senior Internal Communications Manager to join their team on a fixed term contract basis ending December 2024 to develop and deliver integrated strategic communications plans and content.
The firm’s highly regarded business development, marketing and communications team is integral to the setting and achievement of the firm’s business objectives, which includes supporting partners and associates in their pursuit of becoming clients’ trusted advisers, building and maintaining long-lasting, deep institutional client relationships, winning new clients, increasing the visibility of the firm globally and positioning the firm as the thought leader and most advanced Law Firm among the global elite. The function works as one team across the globe with very close collaboration between the central groups, such as communications and events, and the professionals working in local offices, practice groups, sectors and clients. This year the firm announced their intention to merge with another Law Firm to create a new industry leader and one of the only truly integrated Law Firms. As a result they now require an individual with previous experience of a fast-moving business environment undergoing a large programme of change to take the role of Senior Internal Communications Manager. You will be required to foster strong relationships and work collaboratively with colleagues in communications across both firms, both in London and globally, and will be a key player in the firm’s global Internal Communications team, ensuring alignment of messages that support the combined firm’s wider brand and reputation. Keeping ahead of the latest global industry and wider market trends and ensuring Internal Communications are always proactive, you will be responsible for creating and delivering a measurable and impactful partner communications program with a focus on the integration planning period and beyond, which excites, engages and informs in alignment with the combined firm’s goals and the Merger Integration communications strategy. The successful applicant must remain ahead of the latest internal communication expertise to ensure best practice is always deployed and will provide expert advice and copywriting support to the Team Lead, Senior Internal Communications Manager and Senior Internal Communications Manager, People. In addition, the role holder will project manage the Global Partner Conference in conjunction with the wider project team, to deliver the supporting partner communications and firmwide Internal Communications.
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of achievement in Internal Communications or change communications gained in a fast-paced corporate or professional services environment, to include success in advising and influencing senior leaders. An exceptional copywriter with proven omnichannel experience, you will have a strong ability to identify and develop compelling campaigns and significant experience of fully managing and delivering content for set pieces, such as global townhalls. Confident and energetic, the Senior Internal Communications Manager will also possess excellent writing skills and the ability to juggle multiple requests, prioritise and act quickly to meet tight deadlines.
