Job Description:

As the Senior Advisor, you will lead on a range of cases, across our standards, taking responsibility for developing the strategy for resolution, dealing directly with a range of stakeholders such as registered providers, advisors and funders and co-ordinating a team to deal with all aspects of a case to drive change within an organisation. You will ensure that steps are taken to put right the failings, protecting tenants and their homes and helping to support the continued supply of funding into the sector.

Supporting the Assistant Director, you will ensure our regulatory, investigatory, enforcement and general powers are used in a proportionate, consistent, transparent and accountable way, so as to be robust and able to withstand potential challenge.

You will be accountable for analysing and evaluating financial and corporate information about registered providers performance and developing, implementing and delivering effective and proportionate strategies to resolve the most serious and complex cases to determine an appropriate regulatory response. You will work with colleagues, including the in-house legal team, to agree the appropriate use of statutory enforcement or intervention powers ensuring they are employed effectively and proportionately so that the RSH's interests are protected in their use.

Responsibilities:

As the successful candidate, you should have experience of influencing the management and implementation of change within a regulatory environment and should have sound financial awareness, along with understanding of financial regulation and financial management.  You will have strong analytical and evaluation skills, with the ability to draw conclusions and exercise sound judgement to reach evidence-based conclusions.
