Job Title: Senior Category Manager - IT - Banking

Reed Procurement is proud to partner with a leading bank in the financial services sector, seeking a dynamic individual to fill the role of Senior Category Manager for IT. This exciting position is instrumental in defining and implementing strategic initiatives, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing IT procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the definition of individual International category strategy, aligning with the Group's Sourcing Strategy, with a focus on T1 renewals and outsourcing.
- Utilize spend analysis to inform decision-making and lead cost negotiations in IT Consultancy, Service Integrators, and Software Solutions.
- Manage supply and business risk through stakeholder and supplier mapping
- Identify, manage, and deploy projects collaboratively with stakeholders to achieve cost savings and process improvements.
- Develop the supplier base, ensuring continuous performance improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure timely project delivery.
- Drive cost savings, innovation, and operational efficiency within the IT category.
- Develop and agree on yearly savings budgets, identifying consolidation opportunities across global markets.
- Provide regular reporting on performance metrics.
- Manage spend to ensure strict adherence to procurement, ethical protocols, and internal control requirements.
Supplier Management & Development:
- Support the establishment of strategic partnerships with designated suppliers.
- Develop a comprehensive supplier dashboard and monitor the performance of strategic suppliers.
Work Experience:
- Seasoned procurement expert with 7-10 years in IT services sourcing.
- Proven track record of delivering measurable procurement performance.
- In-depth knowledge of the end-to-end procurement process, coupled with strategic sourcing experience.
- Excellent commercial acumen, capable of managing top-down in a complex global organization.
- Strong knowledge of the technology services market.
- Extensive experience in procuring various technology services, including cloud, outsourcing, and systems integration.
- Track record of managing IT contracts, encompassing SaaS, PaaS, software, and services.
Education:
- Degree in a relevant discipline; CIPS membership desirable.
Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in indirect budgetary development, control, and reporting.
- Expertise in supplier performance evaluation and selection.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a high level of cultural awareness.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management and influencing skills.
- Proven experience dealing with Senior Level Management.
- Ability to manage complex, confidential, and sensitive situations.
- Demonstrable high level of personal integrity and performance ethic.
