About the Job
As a Senior IT Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for managing our change agenda with one or more of our market leading technology clients within Unipart's Logistic Technology IT Function. You will work as part of a delivery team consisting of other Delivery Managers, Developers, and our Test team.
As part of your key responsibilities you’ll:
Lead the IT Delivery of changes for one or more large technology clientsBe point of contact for the various stakeholders in the change, including but not limited to our internal IT team, commercial team, client commercial teams, client IT teamsMitigate risks associated with Client Delivery, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulationsManage the change road map, ensuring all change requests are delivered to plan and qualityPrioritise workload for the development and testing resources allocated to the clientManage the IT costs ensuring timesheet completion is completed on time and accurately and that we are charging the correct costs to the client at the agreed budgetsManage project forecast submissions, monitoring actuals to ensure financial accuracyCollaborate with the finance department to develop and manage budgets related to IT client delivery operationsEnsure cost-effective resource allocation and budget adherenceManage and control cost across the portfolio of clientsWork with the other IT Delivery Managers to manage conflicts in change delivery and drive best practiceWork with the Test Lead and Development teams to drive continuous improvement of change in the organisationWork with Operational and UAT teams to ensure successful delivery of changesCommunicate with stakeholders, providing business operational risk explanations of the consequences of Delivery approaches and findingsManaging the pipeline of change demand ensuring this is satisfied from the internal team of resourcesLead the release planning meetings for multiple platforms and change releases and prepare and publish release notes and communicates successLine management of one or more Junior IT Delivery ManagersDeputise for the Head of IT Client DeliveryAbout You

Excellent communication, planning, and organisational skillsExperience of working in a logistics environmentStrong project management experience ideally gained within an IT roleStrong Stakeholder management – able to demonstrate managing both internal and external (client) stakeholdersExperience of JDA WMS productsPrince 2 practitioner or equivalentExcellent leadership and team management skillsDemonstrated experience in project management methodologies, tools, and best practicesFamiliarity with emerging technologies, such as cloud computing, IoT, and data analyticsStrong business acumen and the ability to align IT initiatives with business objectivesSolid understanding of IT service management frameworks, such as ITILOur recruitment and selection process has been developed to ensure that it is consistent, fair and provides equality of opportunity - all selection decisions are based solely on technical and behavioural competencies.
