About the role:                        

Boston Scientific is hiring a Senior Manager, Global IT Service Delivery EMEA, within our Digital Workplace and Technology Experience team. This role is crucial in directing the implementation and support of various Manufacturing, Distribution, Digital Workplace, and Commercial systems and applications across our EMEA countries and sites.

The successful candidate will have a robust technical background, strong cross-functional collaboration and communications skills, and a continuous focus on team development and upskilling. In addition, the candidate will improve the employee experience through the successful fulfillment of projects and programs.

 

Direct all regional projects:

    • Lead and oversee all regional facility and acquisition & integration IT projects, including new campuses or site expansions.
    • Partner with Global IT colleagues regarding current and future work, resourcing needs, and planning.
    • Consort with EMEA IT Commercial colleagues to ensure a unified support approach and regular communication cadence with the BSC EMEA leadership to ensure full visibility into key projects and programs.
    • Suggest monthly/quarterly meetings with key leaders within and outside of IT (i.e., country-specific VPs, Directors, HR, etc.)
    • Document feedback, resource gaps, and service improvement efforts and share them with other Regional Service Delivery leaders.
    • Mentor Country Team Leads, ensuring high-quality support, documentation, request fulfillment, incident resolution, and continuous communications.
    • Oversee regional country IT audits in collaboration with Cybersecurity GRC, reporting on product regulatory and security compliance policies as applicable (i.e., HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2, SOX).
    • Own the regional implementation and support of all Digital Workplace solutions, including Microsoft products and services.
    • Direct Audio & Visual conference room upgrades and services, guaranteeing high availability and standardized hardware.
    • Manage regional Manufacturing and Distribution applications and systems as applicable, in coordination with the IT Global Make & Supply team.
    • Drive regional technology adoption and usage for BSC investments through promotion and education in technologies such as Teams, Co-pilot for M365, AI Support Bot, OneDrive, and SharePoint.

 

Build high-performing teams:

    • Attract, retain, and develop talent to drive a high-performing team. 
    • Manage low performers and reward and recognize high performances.
    • Coach and mentor employees regarding career paths and growth opportunities
    • Upskill teams regarding ITIL, Agile, AI foundations, presentation skills, global collaboration, and project management.

 

Contribute to the global digital-first support strategy:

    • Advance the use of modern digital-first support and service technology to be used by your teams and your customers.
    • Contribute to ServiceNow's design, implementation, and piloting proving feedback as a regional IT stakeholder.
    • Lead your teams to contribute to pilot testing for all global support channels (ServiceNow, AI Chatbots, LiveChat, Walk-Up Experiences)
    • Coach teams to contribute to new ServiceNow knowledge articles.
    • Promote the use of ServiceNow to ensure meaningful data and metrics.

 

What we're looking for:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management of information systems or related technical degree.
  • A minimum of 10+ years of experience in Information Technology.
  • A minimum of 7+ years’ project and/or program management experience.
  • ITIL Certification
  • Exceptional people management skills, including inspiring, motivating, and developing a diverse team towards achieving outstanding results and fostering a positive, inclusive work environment.
  • Demonstrated strong technical experience with networks, servers, and operating systems.
  • Ability to work on a Global team collaboratively in person and virtually.
  • Proven experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with IT colleagues, business stakeholders, and vendors.
  • Demonstrated experience in IT contract management (i.e., MSAs, NDAs).
  • Self-motivated, independent, and adaptable with a global mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills, maintaining project progress, and communicating design or development gaps.
