I am recruiting for a Senior IT Project Manager on behalf of a client in the Pharmaceuticals industry.

This role is based in Cheshire with hybrid working model (3 days onsite per week)
Job Description
- Ensure Demand for Project managers (and other change resources as required) across the change portfolio is understood and matched to supply (capacity).
- Establish and maintain effective and productive relationships with our strategic 3rd party software and Systems providers
- Ensure that project delivery performance and status reporting is received, validated and reported into the appropriate delivery and governance frameworks, and escalation of any delivery performance issues is executed as required.
- Responsible for supporting the IT (and Group where applicable) functions in the development, delivery, and implementation of their change portfolio(s) Work closely with members of the executive and their technical teams to fully identify and articulate change requirements and desired business needs and to translate these into agreed clear and tangible outcomes.
- Lead the development of IT roadmaps to enable prioritisation and to shape portfolios of projects that deliver to strategic objectives and support business innovation and facilitate the effective visibility and communication of the composition and complexity of the IT portfolio.
- Ensure efficiency and value for money through robust cost challenge and cost accuracy (budgets, estimates, forecasting and resource utilisation) on all projects within the IT portfolio.
- Ensure that projects within the IT portfolio deliver their agreed objectives, capabilities and outcomes to time, cost and quality.
- Work as part of the leadership team within the Programme and Project Management functions to promote and raise awareness of how critical change activities enable the delivery of effective and sustainable IT transformation / behavioural change across the organisation and help to embed a change mentality
- Scope, plan, and document change plans and engage relevant leaders to ensure buy-in and support for their implementation.
- Where required, lead a cross functional technical team to deliver the agreed capabilities and outcomes of the change projects.
The Successful Applicant
- Good experience of IT project/programme management roles with proven experience in IT project delivery
- A minimum of 5-10 years' experience within Project Management
- Pragmatic and flexible approach to an evolving IT portfolio of change, and ability to establish teams and relationships with all stakeholders
- MS Office skillset, especially MS Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Delivery of project outcomes to time, cost and quality
- Excellent quality of project/programme documentation in adherence to governance framework and programme lifecycle.
- Supplier contracts adhered to both by suppliers and the project/programme delivery teams.
- Fully conversant with all phases of the project lifecycle and a range of methodologies
- Fully conversant with all aspects of project risk, issue and financial management.
