Senior IT Support Technician �32,000 to �35,000 Birmingham

We have partnered up with an organisation located in Birmingham who are MSP that specialise in the educational sector. The business is seeking to hire a Senior IT Support Technician to work closely with their various schools to support them on their ICT equipment and act as the Senior member on all school IT projects.

The position will report directly into the Head of IT.

Responsibilities of the Senior IT Support Technician:

- Manage, monitor, and maintain the IT infrastructure for school sites.

- Conduct software installations and upgrades.

- Complete hardware installations and upgrades.

- Maintain IT hardware and software asset records for various schools.

Requirements of the Senior IT Support Technician:

- Proven experience working in the educational sector.

- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience of installations and network systems including subnets and VLANS.

- Confident dealing with various members within schools from students to Head Teachers.

- Advanced knowledge of cloud-based solutions - Ideally 0365 and Google Workspace.

- Proven knowledge of backup systems, solutions, and Active Directory Administration.
