Location: Burton, Cheshire (Head Office)
Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and personable individual with strong technical skills to serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related matters within our organisation. As a Senior IT Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems and providing efficient assistance to our colleagues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer technical support to all staff members across the organisation.
- Communicate effectively with users regarding the status of their IT requests.
- Resolve hardware and software issues on a daily basis.
- Deploy PCs and peripherals across the organisation, including new installations and redeployments, adhering to standards set by the Group IT Manager.
- Create and maintain technical support documentation.
- Assist in maintaining the company's CRM package.
- Ensure the timely application of security applications and system upgrades to desktops and laptops.
- Report relevant faults and maintain accurate logs.
- Manage the company asset database.
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by the Group IT Manager.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
- Proficiency in supporting Microsoft Windows operating systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Office 365.
- Experience with iOS and Android mobile devices.
- Ability to diagnose and repair PC hardware faults.
- Understanding of network technologies.
- Familiarity with Active Directory; knowledge of Azure is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Customer-focused mindset with an appreciation for meeting tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Team player with a genuine passion for IT.
