Senior It Technician

Your new companyYour will be working with and Educational Trust supporting the needs of the trust and its schools by providing IT support. The institution is an established educational provider, and they are looking to appoint a Senior IT Technician to its team in Stoke-on-Trent. You will be involved in supporting staff and students in their day-to-day interactions with IT systems.Your new roleThis role has a blended hands on and element and the ability to have a strategic impact too.

• To provide support to all users of the clients IT access and solutions for all, the role is very much a solution focused requirement.
• To offer support with the roll out of Microsoft 365.
• To support with IT equipment and solutions both inhouse design and brought in product.
• To be able to flex into working BAU and project work.
• To maintain and update hardware and software used by the client.
• To undertake monitoring and reporting of issues and fixes to improve operation and process.
• To be an effective stakeholder manager for both internal and external stakeholders
• To be able to train and support on the systems, products the client uses to new and existing users.
• To support with the with the maintenance of the network
• To be able to balance a book of work including business as usual tasks and project work.

What you will need to succeed

• A solid IT background that balances practical work too
• Experienced in working in Business as usual and project work.
• Has worked with new systems and product upgrades and implementations.
• Experienced in working with SQL.
• Practical knowledge of LAN/VLAN/WAN/WIFI technologies and TCP/IP protocols.
• Ability to work in a team and solo capacity.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills
