CONTRACT: Initial 6 months (due to extend)

Location: Hybrid - 2 days onsite (Livingston)

Working with one of our largest telecommunication client on a large project replacing a current application, recently moved from an older system to oracle. Replacing various components whilst working on brand new components, always looking to bring in new technology. Working on the latest spring boots, getting to share where the stack goes, feedback receiving and own development.

Fun team, collaborative, our client like making the job fun. The team itself: 12 developers, 1 principal engineer, 3 senior engineers, 4 developer, 4 associates. A mix of skill levels.

What you'll do:

• Play a key role in an agile squad of first-class engineers.

• Introduce new features and capabilities to our software platform.

• Contribute to significant technology initiatives from inception to release.

• Contribute to the continual improvement of our processes.

• Work in a collaborative Scrum team whilst continually developing your skills.

• Share knowledge and best practice with other team members.

What you'll bring:

• Solid software development experience with Java and Spring, and desirably react.

• A great team player and innovative problem solver.

• Experience following coding standards and performing peer code reviews.

• Desire to continuously learn and share knowledge with others.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Experience developing enterprise systems

• Experience with some of our tech stack: Java, Spring (REST Webservices, MVC, Spring Batch, Spring Boot), React, Maven, Docker, Oracle Databases, MQ.
