Senior Java Developer

Hybrid - 2/3 days onsite

We have been engaged by a leading financial services organisation to assist in the hiring of a Senior Java Developer at their London HQ. This role requires an individual who can be involved in requirements gathering, solution design, application development and documentation.

Role responsibilities:

• Provide Business Analyst support for the London office, this includes providing recommendations and or developing solutions based on requirements from the London business units.
• Responsible for supporting existing and the development lifecycle of new internally developed and/or supplier provided Java applications.
• Provide development support for production issues experienced across the London office developed Microsoft technology stack reporting and integration solutions in partnership with or in the absence of the Senior Business Intelligence Developer.
• Help promote, consultant and deliver on Technology Initiatives for both the Branch and Head Office, with a focus on Process Automation, Information Systems and Data Analytics.
• Adhere to the Bank’s processes, procedures, and guidelines for application development.
• Ensure that the Banks Information Security processes and procedures are adhered to especially with a focus on Application Development.
• Adhere to ITIL standard and London office concepts and procedures for change management.
• Where necessary, provide recommendations as to the improvement of IT security for the London office IT systems and processes

Skills required:

• 2 years international banking systems’ experience
• 5 years Java development experience using multiple tools and frameworks.
• 5 years Microsoft SQL development experience
• Experience of working with common development pipelines and toolchains
