We’re thrilled to be the fastest-growing jewellery brand in the UK, and our recent ranking in the Sunday Times 100 is a testament to our success. Our commitment lies in creating high-quality, stylish, and meaningful jewellery designs that are thoughtfully personalized for our customers.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are excited to announce a brand-new role within our Product Design team at Abbott Lyon. Your adeptness with 3D CAD design software will be key in guiding the team towards the successful execution of designs from initial samples through to final production models.

This position offers a flexible hybrid working model, allowing you to work from home with bi-monthly visits to our headquarters in Bath and dedicated design days in London. This arrangement may be adjusted based on business requirements and your location.

  • Mentoring and managing Mid-Weight and Junior Designers, enhancing their understanding of 3D CAD, and ensuring clear project communication.
  • Keeping abreast of competitors within the jewellery, gifting, fashion accessories, and personalisation industry, and sharing findings and suggestions with the team.
  • Collaborating with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time, in line with the company’s product development strategy.
  • Developing and promoting innovative personalisation offerings and communicating these ideas with relevant teams to ensure successful implementation.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of experience in a Mid-Weight or higher role in jewellery design, with a proven track record of delivering designs from creative concept to final product.
  • Expertise in Matrix or Matrix Gold CAD software.
  • Possession of a design qualification, ideally in jewellery or product design.
  • Experience in additional 3D CAD software such as Z Brush, V-Ray or Clayoo would be a bonus.
  • Strong visual communication skills and proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage processes and people to effectively deliver high-quality products within deadlines.
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring others to enhance the performance of junior team members.
  • High level of accuracy in written correspondence and numeracy.
  • Experience in a vibrant, fast-paced setting with the flexibility to adapt focus in response to business requirements.
  • Proactive team player with the ability to take initiative and work autonomously.
  • Positive attitude and excellent team working skills.
  • Proficiency in Google Suite products.
