We have a great opportunity for a Senior Land Manager to join our team within Vistry Housebuilding Thames Valley, at our Reading office. As our Senior Land Manager, you will be reporting into the Land Director, the Senior Land Manager will be responsible for securing land opportunities to meet the company's requirements and expansion plans. A Senior Land Manager post is a largely self-sufficient role, with the ability to source land opportunities and instruct internal Management Team and external consultants' team regarding the legal, planning, development and commercial constraints of any proposal.

  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of planning
  • Strong mathematic and IT ability

More about the Senior Land Manager role…

  • Identify suitable land on and off market for immediate opportunities.
  • Manage acquisition of land in line with businesses current requirements and acquisition strategy
  • Present to landowners and agents on a formal and informal basis
  • Negotiate legal agreements with Vistry lawyers and third parties
  • Understand and absorb technical, legal and planning information
  • Work up viability and cashflow exploring different housing / tenure mix to meet business hurdle rates
  • Present new opportunities to Vistry Thames Valley Management Team, gain buy-in and seek authority to submit offer
  • Prepare and submit Land Approval Packs and obtain authority to acquire sites in line with Company protocols
  • To develop and maintain regular contacts with land agents/owners, housing associations and investors within the area of operation
  • Conduct business development and attend networking events to promote the Company in the residential and property development sector including building Vistry's reputation
  • Provide support to the Head of Land / Land Director and Managing Director
  • Work with the Land team to offer on c.20 sites per annum, to purchase 6-8 sites per annum
