Pay rate: Up to max £40.05 per hour PAYE, DOE
Hours per week: 37 Monday to Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for approx. 2 -3 months
City: Manchester, M60 2LA
A standard DBS is required for this role
A Senior Lawyer - Children & Families to deal with emergency matters on the CFLG duty rota.
You should have extensive recent experience of dealing with complex, high value and sensitive children and families matters, along with extensive knowledge of the law relating to children and families.
Key responsibilities:
Deputising for Private Law Principal Lawyer
Holding a complex caseload of private law matters, including Judicial review
Attending remote hearings in connection with private law matters
Dealing with emergency matters on the CFLG duty rota
Managing the central inbox for private law matters
Assistance and supervision of other members the Private Law team

Qualifications:
A practising barrister, solicitor or Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (if FCILEX, with Advocacy Certificate)
Knowledge & experience
Extensive recent experience of dealing with complex, high value and sensitive children and families matters.
Extensive knowledge of the law relating to children and families.
