Form of workWe’re looking to strengthen our fantastic legal team with an enthusiastic and commercially focused Commercial Property Lawyer. This is an exciting opportunity that will suit a qualified solicitor, barrister or CILEX, who enjoys being part of a friendly, dynamic, team committed to providing excellent legal services.
Day to day you will be the council’s Commercial Property lead and subject matter expert and will manage an interesting range of property law matters, including leases, licenses and sales and purchases of land, landlord and tenant matters, and disposals and acquisitions, including complex and high-profile matters. This includes meeting the Commercial Property needs of the council-owned business parks and wider commercial portfolio. You will have a varied case load and will need to be able to juggle multiple priorities. And with two approved town centre masterplans and regeneration underway in both Andover and Romsey, it’s a busy time for our ambitious authority!
The opportunity exists for those with contract and procurement expertise to undertake work in these areas.
You’ll need to be a strong, clear communicator who can negotiate and influence effectively to ensure our continued delivery of a high quality, customer-focused service.
