Howdens Joinery is searching for an enthusiastic and driven individual to join our L&D team as a Senior Learning Partner for Scotland & Ireland. This role presents an exciting opportunity to collaborate with Regional Leadership teams and HR Business Partners in the identification and delivery of Learning and Development initiatives that support engagement and drive performance across Howdens. The primary focus will be on the designated business areas, with the key responsibilities encompassing the business priority planning, implementation, facilitation and assessment of training programs throughout our Trade Regions.

What will I be doing as Senior Learning Partner:
- Delivering virtual and face-to-face sessions to a high standard. Involving lead facilitation to drive performance across our Trade teams, from Depot teams to our future Area Managers.
- Ensuring that the learning interventions are designed and delivered to the required quality in a way that is both engaging and appropriate to the learner's needs and requirements of the regions
- This includes critical skills for the business area:
- Welcome, Induction, and Compliance
- Essential role skills
- Personal Growth (Skills for Everyone, Managers and Leaders).
- Agreement, communication and delivery of the national and regional Learning and Development Plans
- Ensuring that all training materials remain up-to-date, relevant, aligned to our market-leading product offering, and are inclusive for different learner needs
- Contributing and collaborating with the wider L&D team and Subject Matter Experts on material development projects
- Championing and administrating our Learning Management System
- Measuring, evaluating, and reporting to key stakeholders the effectiveness of the training delivered within the business area
- Travel UK & ROI (Regionally, Raunds, Howden, Runcorn, and other regional, UK and non-UK venues) to meet the needs of the business
What do I need to qualify for this Senior Learning Partner role?
- Breadth and depth of technical competency in the fields of facilitation, adult learning, and behavioural/cultural change.
- Proven experience in the delivery of in person and virtual instructor led learning.
- Knowledge of the latest learning practices, trends, and emerging thinking.
- Experience in positively incorporating diversity and inclusion into learning and development interventions and processes.
- Experience in using consultancy tools and techniques, for example, the use of SWOT, 5 Whys, weighted matrix etc, providing costed recommendations and projected impact, return on investment, return of expectation.
- Experience in partnering with business and HR leaders to develop impactful learning plans that deliver a return on investment.
- Highly competent in maintaining effective relationships with people at all levels in the business whilst operating with diplomacy and professionalism
- Skilled in influencing people and motivating them to change working practices and behaviour
