The Learning and Development team are a multi-disciplinary team of trainers, coaches, and talent specialists. We form part of the Human Resources Team.

This is an exciting role that combines the scope to engage with our staff, design bespoke training programmes and lead on our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) offering.

This post is working an average of 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday and Fixed Term for up to 12 months to cover maternity leave.

What you will be doing:


Leading on our Diversity and Inclusion programmes, managing and promoting our Diversity calendar and the launch of the new employee recognition programme (Staff Awards)
Managing and supporting a variety of projects such as enhancing customer experience, employee engagement programmes, supporting performance, exit and retention schemes.
Identifying and delivering a variety of training methodologies, techniques, concepts and learning tools, including e-learning, work-based learning, workshops and/ or blended learning solutions (including materials).
Ensuring effective evaluation of systems and processes, monitoring the impact of training interventions on the performance that can be measured. Presenting proposals for change where more efficient or effective approaches are identified. (ROI)
Using a supportive/ coaching style to collaboratively work with managers and individuals to identify themes across the organisation, prioritising these to contribute to an annual training plan drawing on our values, the organisational strategy, functional business plans and individual requirements. (TNA)
Actively promoting the L&D function and market the offer to ensure that managers and colleagues are kept informed of the opportunities available to them.
Managing supplier relationships and creating new partnerships
To keep abreast of best practice within the care sector and training profession to ensure Jewish Care’s training and development remains relevant and innovative.
Developing, leading, and managing members of the training team. Provide leadership, strategic direction, motivation, supervision, and appraisal.


What we are looking for:


Professional qualification in Learning and Development
Coaching Experience
Previous experience with a proven track record of conducting complex learning needs analysis, identifying appropriate learning interventions, training, course design, delivering training and evaluating learning interventions
Previous experience of commissioning and working with learning management/ eLearning systems
Previous experience of working within a charity/ health and care setting.
Experience of leading, managing and developing a team.
