Closing Date: Sunday 04 February 2024 Wrexham University's Computing team invites applications for a dynamic role in senior lecturing. Join us in a Senior Lecturer capacity to be a vital part of the new Cyber Innovation Academy, a ground-breaking initiative aimed at bridging the skills gap in North Wales Cyber Security sector. As a full-time Senior Lecturer, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our taught Cyber Security curriculum. In this role, you will champion excellence in teaching and learning within the academy. Your primary focus will be on delivering high-quality education, contributing to the development of our undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Applicants should possess evidence of Master’s level study in Cyber Security or a related technical field. A PhD in a relevant research area or active progress towards one is preferred. Additionally, possessing professional qualifications like CEH, CISSP, or similar would be advantageous. Expertise in areas like Cryptography and Cyber-Physical systems is highly desirable. This position demands exceptional communication and organizational skills. Candidates should have a track record of document creation, coordination, and team collaboration. Adaptability is crucial, as the role offers diverse challenges requiring self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines independently and collaboratively. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post. We value innovation in teaching. The successful candidate should be committed to pioneering teaching methods and establishing connections with international education partners and industry collaborators.
