The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the School of Science, Technology & Health to work with our partners and stakeholders to introduce Midwifery into the York St John university portfolio alongside our existing Nursing and Allied Health provision. The successful candidate will initially be tasked with developing and delivering material for a contemporary pre-registration BSc (Hons) programme in Midwifery. Candidates will be supported by a skilled and enthusiastic team at the university to develop the programme and gain NMC approval. The post is initially offered for a fixed term of 12 months to complete the development work and would lead to the creation of a permanent role upon successful delivery of an approved programme. Key Requirements Successful candidates should have contemporary knowledge and experience of midwifery, and hold current registration with the NMC as a Midwife. Experience of academic leadership, partnership development and a postgraduate level qualification are desirable but not essential.
