You will join the Faculty of Health at the University of Sheffield. This large Faculty offers education and research across a number of healthcare programmes, many with professional accreditation. It is home to three specialist schools: the School of Medicine and Population Health, the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery and the School of Clinical Dentistry. The Faculty is developing an MPharm programme which will align closely with the School of Medicine and Population Health and the School of Allied Health Professions, Nursing and Midwifery. We aim to start admitting students in September 2025, and are looking to appoint a Senior Lecturer or Senior University Teacher to lead on the development of an integrated clinical placement and professional practice structure in line with the GPhC educational requirements. We are looking to appoint a clinically qualified, senior lecturer or senior University Teacher, with evidence of HEI educational experience and of working as a clinical practitioner. You will have substantial involvement in placement planning, working with our regional partners, as well as in the design of the placement educational requirements, including assessment in line with GPhC educational requirements. Once the programme is operational, it is expected that they will have an embedded role in ongoing teaching and assessment. You must have a record of sustained research success in an area of expertise which aligns with the Faculty, School and University’s research priorities. In-depth knowledge of Pharmacy programme structures and accreditation requirements is essential, as well as experience of course delivery with an emphasis on high quality teaching and learning provision.
