Salary: £25,119 - £26,421 pro rata

Do you have a passion for books, helping people and a desire to have a varied work schedule? Our Libraries support the development of communities through providing information, cultural and social needs and maintaining high standards of customer service.

As a Senior Library Assistant, you will oversee operations, manage timetables, guide team members and step in for the Community Library Manager when needed. You will handle diverse tasks, from training new staff to resolving complex inquiries and ensuring effective communication with senior staff.

We are looking for someone who has A Levels or equivalent skills, along with experience in public libraries and detailed knowledge of library procedures. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional customer service and literacy skills, with flexibility to cover a variety of hours from opening to closing time of our Library, including Saturdays and evenings up till 7pm.
