Senior Lifecycle Proposal Engineer, Services

 

As a Sales Support Engineer in Our AMER Energy Business Services Sales Support, you will be part of an international working environment where you will gain and develop in-depth know-how of lifecycle solutions for land-based power generation business. The ideal candidate has a Bachelors degree or higher in a relevant field of study, and 5 – 10 years of experience in developing and managing proposals in the power generation market.

 

As a Senior Lifecycle Proposal Engineer, you will focus on these responsibilities:

  • Able to operate in a fast-paced and changing market environment.
  • Experience in successfully working with various stakeholders to deliver on customer expectations
  • Exercises active listening
  • Good understanding of margin and cost calculation/pricing strategies
  • Fluent in English, Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills is a benefit
  • Good understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.
  • Good time management and organisation skills and able to effectively manage a dynamic workload.
  • Positive teamwork attitude
  • Proactive
  • Strong customer focus
  • Good knowledge of Sales Tools and System for Offering preparation (SAP/ CRM/ FSQM - AQUA/ SWR/ SC/ WPML Service Offering Catalog/ KB / M-Files) and standard/common Calculation Tools Microsoft office proficient
  • Good knowledge of Wärtsilä products and services.

 

To be successful in this job, you should have/be:

  • You need to be a motivated self-starter who will develop customized proposals from cost calculation to complete proposal to fit our customers' needs and support our Account/Sales Managers in capturing opportunities and turning them into sales.
  • You actively participate in improving the visibility and proactivity towards our customers and internal stakeholders by optimizing the funnel management.
  • You gain satisfaction when your team succeeds, 
  • Technical background is beneficial.
  • Wartsila experience Wartsila product experience Chief engineer/Superintendent or similar experience gained in the field is a plus.
  • Sales minded person is a plus.
