About the Company:

18 Month contract

100% remote

Experis is partnering with one of the worlds largest IT Solutions Providers globally to source a highly talented Senior Linux Engineer/Senior HPC Engineer. Join a rapidly expanding Azure and AI Team support team that is at the forefront of delivering cutting-edge IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance computing (HPC) systems and Linux-based infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to HPC systems and Linux environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement solutions that meet client needs.
  • Optimize system performance and scalability to support advanced computing requirements.
  • Provide expert-level support and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
  • Ensure system security and compliance with industry standards.
  • Leverage tools and troubleshooting skills to solve technically complex problems for strategic enterprise customers.
  • Act as a technical leader and assist in the growth of other engineers through one-on-one mentoring, education scenarios, and problem-solving collaboration.
  • Work directly with a comprehensive panel of experts and the development team to deliver solutions.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in a technical support role.
  • Experience supporting HPC in a Linux environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HPC schedulers.
  • Familiarity with MPI libraries and programming.
  • Experience administering Linux (boot process, file systems, network device, and protocol configuration).
  • Familiarity with core OS services such as SSH, Telnet, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, Samba, and LDAP.
  • Understanding of hierarchical file systems, including high-performance parallel storage and HPC cache.
  • Cloud Core Platform (Compute, Storage).
  • Familiarity with Security and OS Internals concepts (Linux and/or Windows).
  • Understanding of Virtualization concepts and virtual system administration.
  • Managing HPC clusters on-premises or on Cloud.
  • In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP networking and related protocols, InfiniBand.
  • Programming skills in scripting languages like Python, Bash, Ruby.
