Senior Logistics Coordinator

The Role

• Dealing direcrtly with customers both face to face and over the phone
• Work alongside the logistics controller to ensure smooth daily operation
• Coach and mentor Logistics apprentice(s)
• Manage customer expectation at all stages of the delivery journey
• Participate in the development of the business
• Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with potential clients
• Planning and scheduling deliveries effectively and to strict deadlines
• Liaising with 3rd party contractors and agencies

Requirements

• Experience in a similar fast paced role, ideally in transport/logistics
• Ambitious
• Passionate about delivering consistently great customer service
• Calm under pressure
• Strong IT/computer skills
• Adaptable and resilient with the ability to resolve unforseen issues as they arise
• Able to work within time sensitive deadlines without compromising standards
• Attention to detail
• Process driven
• Some B2B sales experience would be beneficial

Please note that this role is office based, Monday to Friday and will suit someone with experience in logistics/transport planning or freight forwarding. Due to the nature of the time sensitive/same day industry, this is a challenging role, varied and very fast paced. It will require you to display the best version of yourself constantly. In return, you will receive a basic salary starting from 27k although this is negotiable if you are the right person. There is a quarterly bonus scheme and monthly awards programme as well as the usual benefits such as pension, parking, health & wellbeing programme and private medical/dental insurance.
