Senior Logistics Specialist 9 Month Contract

Your new companyA leading global brand with a reputation for high quality and innovative products in many categories. This role will be 3 days a week from Weybridge, 2 from home (there is also potential to use their Basingstoke office). Your new roleInitially on a 9 month fixed term contract, you will work within a high-performing Logistics team who support the company's Supply Chain objectives, ensuring international movements of goods are optimised. With the team, you will control in-bound and outbound freight via various carriers, and keep a strong guiding hand on Customs Compliance and Export Controls. You will be comfortable in a role that includes "business as usual" work in collaboration with Logistics Coordinators, and also problem solving, including contact with important customers to resolve any issues as they arise.What you'll need to succeedYou will be proven in a similar role, and enjoy the fast-moving / fast changing nature of International logistics. Experience and skills to include:

• Highly collaborative with excellent communication and organisational skills
• Proven ability to work with partner companies (3PLs / Carriers / Freight Forwarders) and ensure SLAs are met
• Make data / fact-led decisions
• Strong IT skills (including SAP or other ERP system, Excel / Microsoft 365)
• Knowledge of Incoterms and Import & Export Processes
• Ability to focus on Delivery On Time and minimising Express Shipments
• Experience of Logistics within a large multinational manufacturer (automotive, electronics or similar) is an advantage but not essential

What you'll get in returnCompetitive day rate GBP190-215 per day as a guide (GBP50-55k salary equivalent), but there may be flexibility for candidates with very strong experience match.
