Purpose
To maintain all company plant and equipment in a good and safe working order and ensuring compliance with best practice.
Principal Accountabilities
- Reporting to Manufacturing Engineer,
- To keep all equipment (e.g. Manufacturing or Plant) compliant with legal requirements and to liaise with insurance inspectors as appropriate.
- To keep updated all registers and list pertaining to the aforementioned equipment and plant.
- To ensure testing of the fire alarms and emergency lighting at appropriate times.
- To be compliant with all Health and Safety, to be aware of company policy and procedures.
- To be compliant with the environmental policy and awareness of the company procedures regarding emergency preparedness and response.
- Investigate & risks/Issues with manufacturing challenges with equipment put on long term & short plans in place.
- Planned and scheduled repairs to be organised with Logistic Manager & Chief Maintenance Engineer, Logistics manager to agree time frame, Report when repair has been finished to Logistics & Chief Maintenance Engineer.
- KPI update and reported as agreed in BIC (best in class) Meeting.
- Help with Development projects with Development Team - e.g. Oil systems, delivery of oil on to part, Roller boxes etc…
- As supervisor of staff, your staff must have planned workload in place for day to day duties
- Appraisal with your staff. Reported through the appraisal procedure.
Knowledge & Experience Require
- Engineering, presses design and construction
- Fabrication
- Electrical Knowledge (18th Edition is preferred)
- Maintenance engineer must keep maintenance records updated
- PPM and breakdown maintenance reports.
